I wanted to make a quick note of simply how good the 8-bit graphics are. You also can't save with a cheated file, so make sure you're in a good position to use them. It really adds to the game in a good way. You can input the old Konami Code to get all the weapons, or other codes to unlock different bonuses. This game has a large amount of cheat codes, which would only be natural for a game striving to be as classic as it can be. Although, you won't have nearly as much fun this way. Plus, if you're into a story, you can always just ignore all of the side missions and go through everything the game has to offer main story wise. This makes the game focus more on its stronger suit, the gameplay. The game doesn't take itself seriously, and constantly throws jokes and references your way. This plot seems really simple and sort of dumb, but that's only because it is. Doc agrees to fix it and they go back to his house to get things sorted out. Doc Choc thinks Player is the chosen hero, and Player has to go along with it so he can fix his machine. He meets Doc Choc, driving his time traveling car. However, the time machine malfunctions and he ends up in the past. One day when they perform a bank heist, Player finds a time machine (looking a lot like the Time Machine from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure) and decides to go through time to suit his own needs. He signs on as a lackey to the evil Jester, for the money and fun of being a criminal. Your game starts by learning of the character Player, and his journey of being the ultimate bad guy. Oddly enough, the story of this game is my favorite part. The developer goes very in-depth with the control option, which is a major plus for a game like this. Makes everything extremely fluid and fun for me. The other, though, is simply using the stick to move the car. One is the button movement, similar to a normal driving game. This actually is my preferred of the two types, as vehicles have different methods like the shooting. This is by far the best way to play the game, and I can't recommend it enough to fans of twin stick shooters. By moving the right stick in the direction you desire to shoot in, you can shoot in that direction. ![]() This works, but the next option is a lot better. One, is using the Y button to shoot the gun with a lock on feature. On foot, you can move in 8 cardinal directions, jump, and shoot weapons. Starting with movement controls, you have on foot action and vehicle action. You enjoy doing whatever the heck you want to? Like, blowing up cars, driving cars, running people over, and more? Well, that's all handled extremely well in this title. ![]()
